Magnetic Field Brand Identity
Founded by directors Justin Lin, the Russo Brothers, and producer Todd Makurath, they created a production company, Magnetic Field, that values collaborative filmmaking and connecting brands to audiences by masters of their craft. Magnetic Field came to Sunday Afternoon in need of a brand new identity.
Grounding our brand execution on the attractive pull that happens when you’re aligned with a magnetic field, we developed a motion based brand identity for them, that ranged across web, print, social, and any other place their work shows up.
My Role:
I came up with the original concept and rig that allowed the text to be manipulated by a ‘magnetic force’. I also worked closely with our developer to create a custom web-based tool that the clients could use on their own. This was the first of it’s kind that Sunday Afternoon had ever made. I also worked on expanding the graphic identity across all dimensions (social, web, print), and contributed to the product design of the website.

Sunday Afternoon
A visionary production company needs a robust identity that only does it’s job, but one that is visionary as well. We developed a custom tool that they could use in-house to produce infinite variations of their logo, captions, titles and whatever their next adventure demands (typographically, of course).
You can try out the tool we developed below:
